Welcome to Karoo Angus

Karoo Angus Stud is located 32kms East of Bathurst in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales.

A proudly family-owned and operated business, Karoo Angus was run for many years by the late John Reen with his daughter, Annie Scott. Today, Annie continues the family legacy alongside her dedicated team.

With a herd of approximately 300 registered Angus females and 800 commercial females, we remain committed to breeding cattle with balance, consistency, and quality. Our foundation females are selected for capacity, fertility, and key commercial traits with a strong emphasis on structural soundness, body strength, and fleshing.

For over 30 years, Karoo Angus has been dedicated to producing functional, high-performance cattle that go on to have long productive lives. The benefits of this breeding philosophy flow directly to commercial producers, with Karoo-bred cattle consistently attracting premiums in the marketplace.

We breed bulls suited to both domestic and export markets, ensuring we are not a "one-trait" supplier. Instead, we focus on continuous herd improvement, so our clients can achieve ongoing success.

Visitors are always welcome to inspect our herd - get in touch to arrange a visit.
